Tampa Bay won Game 4, 4-3 in 12 innings, and Milwaukee leads the Series 3-1; a win tonight ends it. Dustin May started for the Brewers and threw 39 pitches in three innings, and seven relievers covered the other eight: Aaron Ashby 31 pitches, DL Hall 24, Abner Uribe 19, Antonio Senzatela 18, JoJo Romero 11, Shane Drohan 15 without recording an out, Trevor Megill 5. That is 123 relief pitches, and Senzatela had thrown 26 on Monday (MLB Stats API).

Tampa Bay's six relievers threw 131 pitches over eight innings behind Jax's 74. Tyler Wells (16, then 24) and Cam Booser (12, then 9) pitched in both Games 3 and 4. These are workload counts, not availability reports.

Jacob Misiorowski is listed to start for Milwaukee after throwing 78 pitches over five innings in Game 1. He had a 1.80 ERA and a 2.13 xERA over 174⅔ regular-season innings and 252 strikeouts, and in three October starts he has thrown 13⅓ innings, about 4.4 a start (MLB Stats API, Baseball Savant). MLB's schedule feed lists no Tampa Bay starter this morning. Drew Rasmussen last pitched Oct. 24, Freddy Peralta Oct. 26 and Jax Tuesday (MLB Stats API).

The price went the other way from the workload. DraftKings, via ESPN, has Milwaukee at -157 and Tampa Bay at +130, after an open of -140 and +116. Milwaukee was -125 for Game 4, which Tampa Bay won as a +104 underdog. Nine books have Milwaukee between -161 and -147 on a total of 6.5 (The Odds API). The four games have totaled 5, 9, 11 and 7 runs. Tropicana Field is a dome, so weather is not a factor.

Tampa Bay's Caminero is -15 at third base, 11 runs below average with a 71% success rate, 3 points below expectation, tied for third-lowest among all fielders. The systems do not agree on him: FanGraphs has him at +5 DRS and -10 OAA at third, with 20 errors in 1,401 innings. ESPN's injury report lists him as day-to-day (Baseball Savant, FanGraphs, ESPN).

The Series has been closer than the ratings. Each team has three errors in four games, Milwaukee two of them in Game 4 and Tampa Bay one, and Caminero has one of Tampa Bay's three (MLB Stats API). Season-long fielding ratings describe a full year of chances, not what happens on any one night.

DRS — defensive runs saved vs. average, by one of two main systems (the other is UZR).
ERA — earned run average: earned runs allowed per nine innings.
ML (moneyline) — the straight-up winner price. −150 = risk $150 to win $100; +130 = $100 wins $130.
O/U (total) — the combined-points line.
OAA — Outs Above Average: Statcast's range-based defense metric (plays made vs. an average fielder).
Run line — baseball's point spread, almost always 1.5 runs.
Spread — the margin handicap (−9.5 = must win by 10+ to cover).
xERA — expected ERA based on the quality of contact a pitcher allows (exit velocity, launch angle), not actual results. A gap vs. real ERA hints at luck, good or bad.
